Jews students heavily dominated Stuyvesant High School for the most part of the 20th century. It was only in the 70s that the school began seeing an influx of Asian students.

In 2013, 72.3% of the entire student body were Asians. The rest were made of 21.44% Caucasian, 1.03% African American, 2.34% Hispanic, and 3% unknown/other.

For a school in one of the most racially diverse cities in the world, it looks like it’s been heavily dominated by Asian most of which Asian Americans.
